The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are actually open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the following requirements:

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South nsfas status African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to research at a general public university or TVET college nsfas 2025 in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
